Harvey N. Kroer of Grand Forks ND, formerly of Luverne ND, died Friday, November 2, 2012 at Parkwood Senior Living where he and Ella have resided for two years.

Harvey N. Kroer of Grand Forks ND, formerly of Luverne ND, died Friday, November 2, 2012 at Parkwood Senior Living where he and Ella have resided for two years.

Harvey Kroer was born May 26, 1921 on the family farm to Niels and Kristine Kroer. Harvey farmed for all of his life and harvested his first crop in 1938. He was a member of Luverne Lutheran Church and served on the church and cemetery boards as well as the Luverne Farmers Co-op elevator board.

Harvey married Ella Gjesdal March 27, 1962 in Luverne. She survives along with their daughter Jan (Joe) Kulbacki, Grand Forks; 5 grandchildren: Jayme (Scott) Newell, Aldie, VA, Justin (Julie) Hinschberger, Grand Forks, Jocelyn Hinschberger, Centreville VA, Didi (Tom) Klusmann, Albertville, MN and Mandy Kulbacki, Grand Forks; niece Sally (Frank) Woodliff, Fallon NV; 6 grandchildren: Matthew, Grace, Zachary, Katelyn, Donovan, and Lola, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister; his parents; his sister Lilly Davis, Fallon, NV, and infant great grandson Logan.

A family celebration of Harvey’s life will held in Grand Forks at a later date.
