Richard Carl Jenson

Richard Carl Jenson, 76, of Manvel, ND, died Friday, November 2, 2012, at his son’s home in East Grand Forks, MN.

Richard was born July 19, 1936 in Minot, ND to Edwin and Ann Jenson. He was raised there, but lived most of his adult life in Grand Forks and Manvel, ND. He served in the Army National Guard from 1953-1956, and continued that service as an active lifetime member of the American Legion well into his retirement years. He had been struggling with health problems for several years, and finally succumbed to that struggle. Richard was an avid motorcycle enthusiast in his younger years, and enjoyed hunting with his sons and other friends and family throughout his life. More than that, he is remembered by his family as a loving husband and father. Although he is now called to a place of peace and rest, he will be dearly missed here by those fortunate enough to have known him.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents (Edwin and Ann), wife (Mary), brother (Morris), sister (Beasy), and granddaughter (Alexandra).

He is survived by his brother Dennis Jenson (Karen), and sister Ruby Flowers; sons Richard (Su), Randall (Michelle), and Shane (Karyn); and grandchildren Ricky, Jessica, Sara, Randy, and Amber.

Richard’s family would like to invite those he has touched in his life to the Memorial Service on Monday.

Memorial Services: 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service at Amundsons.
