Dale R. Braaten, age 47, of Northwood, ND passed away peacefully with his family & friends beside him at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND on October 31, 2012.

Dale R. Braaten, age 47, of Northwood, ND passed away peacefully with his family & friends beside him at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND on October 31, 2012.

Dale was born on December 19, 1964, to Andrew & Betty (Schol) Braaten in Northwood, ND. He attended and graduated from Northwood High School and received his Associates Degree from NDSSS. On December 29, 1989, he married Audrey Schlaht in Grand Forks. He worked at LM Wind Power in Grand Forks as a forklift operator. Dale loved hunting, camping, hanging out with and being with his family and friends. He was a good foster father. Dale was also a volunteer firefighter.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey, Northwood, ND; children: Brandon (Sarah) Wall and their sons, Preston and Hudson, Hatton, ND, Meranda Braaten and Adam Braaten, both of Northwood, ND; sister, Marion (Mark) DeMoss and their children, Zach, Samantha & Mark, Hillsboro, ND; brother Wayne (Carrie) Braaten and their daughter, Stacy (Brent); niece, Angela (Joe) Kolling and their son, Andrew; and his beloved dog, Murphy.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Dawn Lenz, and niece, Morgan Kolling.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 10:00 am at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church in Northwood.

The visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Bilden Funeral Home in Northwood.
