Inez Evangeline (Hefta) Manbeck, 82, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away under hospice care on October 7, 2012, in her home with her family at her side.

Inez Evangeline (Hefta) Manbeck, 82, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away under hospice care on October 7, 2012, in her home with her family at her side. First diagnosed with breast cancer 16 years ago, she and Donald, her husband of 62 years, fought a valiant battle.
Inez was born in Nekoma, ND, attended high school in Park River, ND, and attended Valley City State University, where she met and married Donald F. Manbeck in 1950. They lived in Valley City until moving to Phoenix in 1971. She worked in hospital administration in Valley City and Phoenix.
Left to mourn her are her husband; her son, Douglas (Carol) Manbeck, Lakota, ND; her daughter, Eileen (Richard) Karp, Teaneck, NJ; granddaughters, Erin Karp, Teaneck, NJ, and Audra (Anthony) Bursae of Washington Township, NJ, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Thea (Sabie) Hefta; three brothers; and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Nov. 10, 2012, at Hansen Chapel, 8314 North 7th Street, Phoenix.
Private inurnment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ.
