Lynn Cal Brudevold, 48, Velva, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in his home.

Lynn was born on January 19, 1964, a son of Forrest and Ardella (Lindemann) Brudevold in Moorhead, MN. He was raised and educated in Page, ND, graduating from Page High School in 1982. He furthered his education by attending Minot State University and North Dakota State University, graduating from Minot State.

Lynn was united in marriage to Lori Melland on June 20, 1987 in Loma, ND. Following their marriage, they made their home in Logan and eventually Velva. Lynn worked for CENTROL, until his division closed, then he started North Central Crop Consulting. He owned and operated NCCC for over 22 years, retiring due to health concerns.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing in tournaments, traveling and spending time at their lake cabin at Wolf Creek.

He was a member of the Velva United Methodist Church and the Pheasants for the Future.

Lynn is survived by: wife of 25 years, Lori, Velva; children Taylor and Mason, Velva; parents: Forrest and Ardella Brudevold, Valley City, ND; brothers: Gene Brudevold, Valley City, ND and Daryl (Ruth) Brudevold, Pillsbury, ND; sisters-in-law: Deanna (Dave) Paulson and Marilyn (Rick) Lervik, all of Fargo, ND; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father and mother in law Melvin and Dolores Melland.

The Family requests friends bring a handful of their grain, a gun shell or whatever small remembrance of Lynn to the service for a memory jar.

Visitation and Prayer Service: Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 3-6 pm at the United Methodist Church in Velva, ND with a prayer service at 6 pm in the church.

Funeral Service: Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2 pm at the Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva, ND.

Burial: Velva Community Cemetery, Velva, ND.

Memorials are preferred to the Hope Lodge in Rochester, MN which provides free housing for cancer patients.
