Delphine Gilderhus passed away at age 88 on April 26, 2012 at Woodside Village in Grand Forks, ND.

Delphine was born in Virginia, MN to Bill and Iva Petersen on April 12,1924. She married Vertis Gilderhus on November 2,1944 at United Lutheran Church. She worked at paint stores, Johnson Store, DQ and Daytons until retirement at age 74. Delphine dearly loved her 2 grandsons Chris (Beth) Corey (Ocean) and her 4 great-grandchildren, Zac, Noah, Naia and Canyon. Delphine enjoyed her family lots, ...radio music and weather channel and enjoyed all her Dayton friends.

Delphine is survived by daughter Rita, son in law Ray; grandsons and great-grandchildren; sister Pam; sister in law Elsie and nephews.

She is preceded in death by Vertis; her parents and sister Doris.

Delphine's memorial service was on May 9, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, CO.

Burial at Larimore Cemetery.

It is so sad to lose some one we love so much.

Rita, sorry to read of your Mothers passing. I worked with your Mother at the Johnson's Store and also your Dad at Much Oil, I think in the summer of 1960. Enjoyed my time with them very much. Sympathy to you and Ray and family.
