Leonard L. 'Len' Wynne, 71 of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Leonard Leroy Wynne was born August 2, 1940 in Grand Forks the son of Myron and Irene (LaFave) Wynne. He attended Grand Forks Schools. After his education, he served in the US Army. Returning home, Len worked many years for Bridgeman Creameries delivering milk. He married Sharon Deitz in 1960. He began working as a car salesman in 1990 and retired from Rydell Chevrolet in 2003.
He is survived by, "The love of his life", Peggy Freitag; daughters, Gina Freitag, Grand Forks, ND, Tina (Tom) Beitz, Hillsboro, ND, Karla (Jamie) Grimes, Fisher, MN; grandchildren, Danika, Brandon, Mason, Talon, Bryar and Hailey; brothers, Pat (Becky), WI, Delbert (Cheryle), MO, Richard (Lila), ND; sisters, Diana (Ross) Watland, ND, Marlene (Gary) Barton, KS, Beverly Ashley (Dennis Dery), WI; Peggy's family, Melanie (Brad) Zabel and their children, Cameron and Samantha; Rod Freitag and Scott Freitag.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family of Len wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Altru Hospital for their wonderful care.
Funeral Liturgy: 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 in the Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday with a 4:30 p.m. rosary service in the funeral chapel on Monday.
Military Honors: Members of the American Legion Post 157, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3817 and the North Dakota National Guard.
