Dolores Angeline Klemisch

Today a great soul entered heaven. On Jan. 17, Dolores Angeline Klemisch passed into eternal life at Medcenter One with her loving family at her side.

Dolores was born March 19, 1931, in Mt. Carmel, ND. She was the eldest of eight children of Albert and Agnes Hoffarth. She graduated as the salutatorian of St. Alphonsus High School in Langdon, ND. Dolores worked for the Cavalier County Republican before she met and married Robert William Klemisch on January 12, 1950, in Langdon. They lived for a short while in Willmar, MN, before moving to Drayton, ND, where she raised eleven children. She was the director of the Drayton Senior Citizen Center in Drayton, ND, until she moved to West Fargo in 1986. She worked at The Village in Fargo for several years prior to retirement. In 2002, she moved to Bismarck.

To know Dolores was to love her. She was the matriarch of her family of eleven children, 32 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She loved each one of them and they loved her too. Dolores was a kind and humble woman who often said she never regretted a day of her life. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and going to rummage sales. Spending time with family members and quilting with friends were favorite pastimes. She was an active member of Church of Corpus Christi in Bismarck.

Children blessed to have Dolores as their mother include, Ken (Denise), West Fargo, Mike (Kathy), Grand Forks, Roger (Mary Lou), New Salem, Wayne (Lucille), Bismarck, Darlene (Keith) Bondley, Bismarck, Diane (Gary) Winterquist, West Fargo, Bob (Nicole), Mandan, David (Stacey), Fargo, Dan (Deb), McClusky, Jeff (Lisa), Billings, MT, and Carol (Scott) Harr, Mandan. She is survived by her brothers, Arlen (Sandy) Hoffarth, Apache Junction, AZ, and Benny (Zita) Hoffarth, Sebring, FL; and sisters; Mary (Richard) Langer, Wadena, MN, Florene (Jim) LaFrance, Buffalo, MN, and Helen (Jim) Warner, Nevis, MN.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; brother, Leon Hoffarth; sister, Cecelia Drake; great-granddaughter, Calla Rarich; and parents, Albert and Agnes Hoffarth.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, January 20, at Church of Corpus Christi, Bismarck, with Rev. Paul Becker officiating. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Thursday, January 19, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a vigil/rosary will begin at 4:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

I am so sorry to hear the news about your Mom and Grandma. I remember her as a soft spoken, kind lady - a real LADY - that everyone respected and liked. From seeing her at church, our school activities and when we'd go to your house on Sundays to pick up our fresh milk in those big gallon jugs she was always smiling and ready to help anyone. I am certain her passing has left a big hole in your hearts. You were blessed to have her. My sympathy and prayers for all of you. Cindy Kirkeby Spilde
