Maurice Hedstrom, Martinez, GA - Maurice A. Hedstrom, 81, husband of Estelle Butler Hedstrom, of Durbin Dr., entered into rest Thursday, November 24, at the Downtown V.A. Hospital in Augusta.

Martinez, GA - Maurice A. Hedstrom, 81, husband of Estelle Butler Hedstrom, of Durbin Dr., entered into rest Thursday, November 24, at the Downtown V.A. Hospital in Augusta.

Mr. Hedstrom, son of the late Andrew E. and Florence Stiles Hedstrom, was born in Gilby, ND. He was a retired Staff Sergeant of the United States Army, having served one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He and Mrs. Hedstrom were also the owners and operators of Hedstrom & Son, Inc.

Mr. Hedstrom was preceded in death by his son, Frank Merritt.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Frances Scott of Adairsville, GA, Kathryn Keen of North Augusta, SC, Sandra Lynch of Augusta and Thomas Hedstrom of Gaffney, SC; his sister, Lois Durkin of Inkster, ND; and he is also survived by numerous grandchilren, great grandchilren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Legion Post No. 192, P.O. Box 458, Evans, GA, 30809.

Funeral service arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.

Thank you for your service to our country. I am glad you were able to return to your birthplace one last time. Your family should be very proud of you. God speed Maurice until you and your family meet again.
