Stephen "Steve T." Thomas Slominski, age 79 of Ardoch, ND passed away on July 30, 2011 as a result of a farming accident.

Steve was born on December 25, 1931 in rural Minto, ND. He was the 6th of 10 children born to William and Mary Ginter Slominski. He attended District #115 Rural Country School. He married Evelyn Mesheske on October 16, 1951 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw, ND. Together they have 4 children.

He was a lifetime farmer in the Ardoch and Warsaw areas for close to 60 years. He was a board member for several years at the Manvel Coop Elevator and a member of the Oslo Potato Packers Association. He enjoyed farming, golfing, fishing, carpentry, mechanics, traveling, and spoiling his 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his pets. He loved spending the past 31 winters at his pre-retirement home in Mesa, AZ because he refused to officially retire.

Steve is survived by his wife, Evelyn, rural Ardoch, ND; sons, Douglas (Jody), Manvel, ND and Joel (Susan), rural Ardoch, ND; daughters, Jackie (Mitch), Fargo, ND and Shelly (Calvin), East Grand Forks, MN. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Stacey (Matt) Schultz, Brian Slominski, Cary (Hannah) Slominski, Greg Slominski, Tina (Oscar) Betancourt, Tamera (Steve) Tolly, Michelle Holter, Janelle Holter, Jason Pecka, Bradly Pecka, Nicole Pecka, Ashley Slominski and Callie Slominski; 5 great grandchildren, Stephan and Jarek Schultz, Colton and Isaac Tolly and Julienne Betancourt.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley and Walter Slominski and sisters, Aurelia Osowski and Bebe Ann Bolek.

Memorials are preferred to: St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oslo, MN or the Minto Community Center in Minto, ND.

Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oslo, MN.

Visitation will be Tuesday (today) August 2, 2011 from 5 pm to 7pm with a rosary service at 5pm and a prayer service at 7pm in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oslo, MN.

Interment will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Warsaw, ND.
