Joann "June" Marie Gajeski Kuznia, 85 of Stephen, MN died July 12, 2011 at Kittson Memorial Nursing Home in Hallock, MN.
She was born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926 in Florian, MN in Wright Township to Walter and Rose Gajeski. She went to country school and later she married August Kuznia on June 26, 1945 at St. Joseph's Red River Mission Church affiliated with Oslo, MN. Following marriage, June was a homemaker on the family farm in Stephen, MN in Fork Township.
She was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the St. Stephen Ladies Aide.
June was an Avon and a Fuller Brush saleslady. She enjoyed playing Bingo, card playing, gardening, canning, embroidering, babysitting, coffee parties, puzzles and dancing. Everybody loved her homemade soups.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Alvina (Ralph) Krolak of Stephen, MN, Rita (Gerald) Schaefer of Grand Forks, ND, Duane (Sandra) Kuznia of Stephen, MN, Mona Rae (LuVerne) of Karlstad, MN, David (Debra) Kuznia of Drayton, ND, Gary (Pamela) Kuznia of Ahwatukee, AZ, Grace (Paul) Helstowski of Milwaukee, WI and Diane Kuznia of Milwaukee, WI; siblings, Betty (Ali) Kukowski of Greenbush, MN, Bernice (Chester) Kukowski of Greenbush, MN and Daniel (Nancy) Gajeski of Stephen, MN; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Rose Gajeski; brothers, Roman, Florian, Searfine and infant brother Raymond; sister, Pearl; brothers-in-law, Ali Kukowski, Chester Kukowski and Hank Smiechowski; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Gajeski and Bernice Gajeski; sons-in-law, Gerald Schaefer and LuVerne Peterson and granddaughter, Kristi Ann Peterson.
MASS Of CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30AM on Saturday, July, 16, 2011 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Stephen, MN.
VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:45 PM Rosary Service and a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Friday, July 15, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Stephen, MN and will continue one hour before services on Saturday.
INTERMENT: St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Stephen, MN.
