Daphine L. Hanson, 78, of Grand Forks, ND died Monday, July 11, 2011 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Born November 2, 1932 in Austin, Minnesota to Benny and Anna (Gunderson) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Austin, Minnesota. She married Donn St. Germain in 1951. She then married Jim Hanson on May 12, 1978 in Roseau, Minnesota. She served in the US Air Force in 1950-1952. She enjoyed spending time at their lake cabin in Maple Lake, Minnesota.
Daphine is survived by her husband, Jim Hanson, Grand Forks, ND; children, Karen Dahlgren (Lyle), Roseau,MN, Becky Waage (Scott), Greenbush, MN; Grandchildren, Ryan Lisell (Irene), Tennille Lisell, Tyler Bergstrom (Audrey), Scott Sandstrom (Jodi), Mallory Bergstrom (Alex), Walker Waage, Tessa Waage, Renae St. Germain; and six great-grandchildren, Sofia, Lyle, Alyssa, Alexxa, Tenley, and Makenzie. Brothers and sisters, Gloria (Idore) Larson, Helen (Jim) Webber, Emery Johnson, Nolan Johnson, Arling Johnson; Sister-in-law, Dee (Don) Boggetto; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wally, Harold and Floyd; her son Doug St. Germain, her son-in-law Lyle Lisell. Mother-in-law, Bea Hanson .
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10:30AM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
