Ivadelle Haugen, 89, of Stephen, MN, formerly of rural Oslo, MN, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Ivadelle Anderson was born on August 12, 1921 at Argyle, MN, the daughter of George and Ragna (Harstad) Anderson. She graduated from Argyle High School and attended Aaker's Business College. Ivadelle worked as a bookkeeper for Valley Creamery in East Grand Forks, MN. She married Carl Haugen on June 16, 1957. They made their home in rural Oslo where they farmed. They moved to Stephen in November of 2006. Carl died on December 1, 2006.
She was a member of Bigwoods Lutheran Church and the Bigwoods Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Ivadelle loved spending time and playing games with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, gardening and attending her grandchildren's activities. Ivy always had the coffee pot on and enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors.
Left to mourn her passing are three children, Karla Bergeron of Fargo, ND, Kim (Mark) Anderson of Stephen, MN and Curtis (Lori) Haugen of Argyle, MN; ten grandchildren, Sara and Kelsey Bergeron, Patrick, Jonathan, Eric and Erin Anderson and Alissa, Kallie, Emily and Macy Haugen and sister-in-law, Joyce Haugen of Argyle, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl;
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 AM on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oslo, MN.
VISITATION: After 6:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Oslo and one hour before services on Friday at the church.
INTERMENT: Bigwoods Lutheran Cemetery, rural Oslo, MN.
