Robert Anderson

Robert Anderson, 83, of Warren, MN, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Villa St. Vincent.

Robert Wayne Anderson was born on August 10, 1927 in Vega Township, Marshall County, MN, the son of Axel and Freda (Westberg) Anderson. He attended and graduated from Warren High School. On June 1, 1952, he married Herma Johnson. They made their home in Vega Township where he farmed. After Herma passed away, Robert married Jeannie Larson on May 21, 1988 and they lived in Vega Township.

He was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Vega.

Bob loved family get togethers, driving his pickup, checking the fields, playing card games (Oh, Schucks and Hand & Foot) with family and friends and feeding the birds and "Chippie" the chipmunk.

He was life long farmer who loved doing fieldwork, especially rotobeating.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Jeannie; daughters, Cindy (Andy) Hoiland of Prior Lake, MN and Jill (Ron) Anderson of Warroad, MN; step-children, Lori (Shawn) Frank of Jamestown, ND, Dorice (Scott) Salzar of Dickinson, ND, Wayne (Sharon) Larson of Warren, MN and Daryl (Jody) Larson of Alvarado, MN; grandchildren, Max Condra, Zoe Condra, Alex Hoiland, Sarah Howe (fiancé Cody Schmalz), Kayla (Eric) Honeyman, Ryan Larson (fiancé, Dana Adolphson), Jesse (Hope) Larson, Casey Larson, Amanda Larson, Adam Larson and Ashley Larson; great-grandchild, Eli Larson; sister, Doris (Fred) Melberg of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada; special nephew, Stuart (Julie) Nordling; special niece, Nancy Nordling; special great-nephews, Kellen, Jace and Braydon Nordling; nephew, Nels (Gwen) Melberg and niece, Karin (Rick) Schwier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Herma and sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Rolland Nordling.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Vega in rural Warren, MN.

VISITATION: After 5:30 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Saturday at DuBore Funeral Home in Warren and one hour before services on Sunday.

INTERMENT: Vega Lutheran Cemetery, rural Warren, MN.
