Joseph "Ed" Robertson, 81 of East Grand Forks, formerly of Argyle died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

He was born June 17, 1929 in Warren, MN to Milne and Celine (Coninx) Robertson. Ed graduated from Argyle High School in 1948. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and in 1951 to 1953 he was stationed in Japan. Ed returned to Argyle and on November 21, 1964 he married Mary Gryskiewicz in Drayton, ND. They made their home in Argyle where they farmed. They moved to Grand Forks, in 1998 and then to East Grand Forks in 2008. He was a member of the Argyle American Legion and was also a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks and former member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Mary; children, Joel Robertson of Herdon, VA and Dennis (Pami) Robertson of East Grand Forks, MN; granddaughters, Hayli and Courtney Robertson of East Grand Forks, MN; siblings, Helen (Milt) Graf of Caledonia, MN, James (Arlene) Robertson of Argyle, MN, Margaret Hunt of Lakeville, MN and Keith (Martha) Robertson of Breckenridge, MN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and Kenneth; brother in infancy, Dennis; brother-in-law, Warren Hunt; sister-in-law, Lucille Robertson and nephew Scott Robertson.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, MN.

VISITATION: After 5:30 PM with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, MN and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.

INTERMENT: St Rose of Lima Catholic Church cemetery, Argyle, MN.

MILITARY RIGHTS: Argyle American Legion Post

Mary and family,So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I enjoyed visiting with you and Ed at Sam's club. We have lost so many friends--if you are ever in Stephen,give me a call or stop by. My sympathy to you and the rest of Ed's family. Darlyne Benson
