Nancy Kay Pederson, age 54 of Fergus Falls, MN passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.
Nancy Kay Pederson was born February 24, 1957 in Grafton, ND to Audrey (Eng) Pederson and the late Jarl Pederson. She graduated from Grafton High School and attended Moorhead State College and Moorhead Technical College. She returned to Grafton where she worked many years at the Grafton Developmental Center, making many wonderful and dear friends. She then moved to Cincinnati and attended Cincinnati Tech. She then began working for a clinic in Cincinnati. She moved to Grand Forks, ND where she met the love of her life, Chip Stewart. The couple moved to Fergus Falls, MN where they continued to live until the time of her death.
Nancy was baptized and confirmed at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, was a member of a cooking club and loved her dogs. Nancy loved to follow the success of her daughter Nicole and was very proud of her.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Nicole Pederson, Manhattan, NY; mother Audrey Pederson, Grand Forks, ND; brothers: Tim (Debbie) Pederson, Seattle, WA; Keith Pederson, Seattle, WA; Dan Pederson, Seattle, WA; Randy Pederson, Grafton, ND; Jack (Ruth) Pederson, Grand Forks, ND; Brad (Paula) Pederson, Hillsboro, ND and special friend Chip Stewart, Fergus Falls, MN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded by her grandparents, father Jarl and brother Joey.
Memorial mass will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. with at prayer service at 7:00 at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
