Lorraine Phillipine Schneider was born on February 17, 1933 the daughter of Anthony and Marian (Kienlen) Schneider in Lampman, Saskatchewan, Canada. She grew up and attended school in the Humboldt, Saskatchewan area. In her pre-teen years, her family moved to Flaxton, ND, where she was raised on her family farm. She graduated from Flaxton High School in 1950. She married Gordon Gosecky in August of 1950 and they had three daughters, twins, Donna and Donita and Teresa. Lorrie owned a beauty shop in Columbus and Lignite, ND, from 1957 to 1967. In 1961, she met and married Curtis Hill and they had three sons, Steven, Ace, and Michael. Lori moved to Billings, MT where she worked as a guidance counselor after obtaining her Masters Degree in Social Work from Eastern Montana College. In her retirement years she worked at the Billings Wal Mart Store before fully retiring in 2005. Lorrie moved to Grand Forks in Sep 2007 where she has resided until her death. Lorrie was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and knitting in her leisure time.
She is survived by her six children; daughters, Donita (Mike) Eide, Henderson, NV, Donna (Lyle) Luenberger, Lynden, WA, Teresa (Rich) Graziano, Grand Forks, ND; sons, Steven (Amy) Hill, Billings, MT, Ace (Rachelle) Hill, Carnation, WA and Mike (Pam) Hill, Billings, MT; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Toni (Kenny Johnson) Schwartz, Minot, ND; brothers, Joseph (Launa) Schneider, Ashboro, NC, Stanley (Anne) Kienlen, Edmonton, Alberta Canada and her special friends and caregivers, Lisa and Elaine from Home Helpers.
Lorrie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joyce Schneider.
Memorial Service: A private family memorial was held at the Norman Funeral Home, 2950 S. Washington St. Grand Forks, ND 58201
