Mark Einarson, age 47 of Grafton died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Mark Einarson was born August 13, 1963 in Grafton, ND the son of Lewis and Geraldine (Pederson) Einarson. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1981. He later attended the University of Minnesota-Crookston where he played football and hockey. Following his education he returned to Grafton and worked at the Grafton Developmental Center for 27 years. He was currently working as a carpenter for TFM Construction in Grafton. Mark was united in marriage to Pat Sitzer on December 13, 2010 in Jamaica.

Mark was a huge Steelers fan. He coached the Grafton Spoilers for many years. He coached youth hockey in Grafton for several years. He was known as the Commissioner of the Fantasy Football leagues in Grafton and Oakwood and he also played softball in Oakwood.

Mark is survived by his wife Pat of Grafton, ND; his daughters: Sara Einarson and her fiancé John Rushmore, Grand Forks, ND; MacKenzie Einarson, Grafton, ND; step-children: Samantha Sitzer, Grafton, ND; Allan Sitzer, Minto, ND; Thomas Sitzer and his son Trenton, Grand Forks, ND; his mother Geraldine Bloom, Grafton, ND; father Lewis Einarson, Grafton, ND; siblings: Mary Beth (Charles) Wilson, Grafton, ND; Michael Einarson, Vancouver, WA; Mitchell (Rita) Einarson, Sudbury, VT; Mylo Einarson, Grafton, ND.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and sister Marie Louise Einarson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, ND.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:30 - 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 8:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.

I grew up with Mark's daughter Sara since my father also played softball in Oakwood. Sara and I are still friends and I know how much her family means to her. My thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.
