Pat Baxter, of Roseau, MN passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Warroad Senior Living Center. She was 62 years old.
Pat was born on September 27, 1948 in St. Peter, MN to Mary Jo (Gildea) and George Koller. She attended school in Leseuer, MN. She attended Middle school at a Catholic School and then Leseuer High School where she graduated in 1966.
Pat married Chuck Baxter on June 16, 1973 in Leseuer, MN. They lived in Minneapolis for some time and then moved to Roseau, MN in April of 1974. She worked for Polaris Industries as an accountant until her son David was born in 1978. She also taught school in badger for two years and she and Chuck owned the Guest House in Roseau for a couple of years. They then built the Northern Light apartments and duplexes in Roseau and Pat managed them until 2007 when her health began to fail. She developed Pick's disease. She recently moved into the Warroad Senior Living Center.
Pat enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, quilting, and fishing. She loved to mow the grass, and took care of her lawn at home and the mowing at the apartments. She also liked going to the casino.
She is survived by her husband; Charles Baxter, children; Charles David (Amy Jo) of Fargo, and Katie Jane (Ryan) Vivant of Isle, MN, grandchildren; Fuschia Baxter, Jonathan Bauer, Kameron and Logan Vivant, siblings; Gary Koller, James Koller, Allen "Buck" (Joyce) Koller, Paul (Mary Kay) Koller, Carol (Lee) Johnson, Margaret (Dan) Kline, Diane (Doug) Miller, and Amy (Monte) Braun.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jo and George Koller.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 25, at 10:30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseau.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the Church.
