William Richard (Billy Dick) Hoverson passed away at home on February 13, 2011, with his family near him.

William Richard (Billy Dick) Hoverson passed away at home on February 13, 2011, with his family near him.

He was born to Clarence O. and Ruth (Williams) Hoverson in Grand Forks, ND, on April 25, 1935. Bill was raised on the family farm near Manvel, ND. Bill loved farming and always loved to see the crops grow. He went to Homestead, Florida, to work for a farmer and met Joyce (Morgan) Hoverson. They married in 1953 and had 3 children. The light of his life was Joyce and his children, grandchildren and great-grandsons. Bill accepted Jesus as his Savior 36 years ago. He delighted in sharing the Lord with everyone he met.

He leaves behind his wife, Joyce, children, Bob (Bonnie) Hoverson, Manvel, ND, Wayne (Jane) Hoverson, Chandler, AZ and Beth (Greg) Olimb, Manvel, ND; grandchildren Chad (Kate) Hoverson, Grand Forks, ND, Justin (Rosa) Hoverson, Apache Junction, AZ, Amanda Hoverson, Manvel, ND, Cory (Courtney) Hoverson, Chandler, AZ, Haley (Matt) Collins, Phoenix, AZ, Jeremy (Rachel) Olimb, Gilbert, AZ, Lance (Sarah) Olimb, Grand Forks, ND, and Dana Olimb, Grand Forks, ND; 12 great-grandsons, Hunter, Ben, Christian, Kaeden, Hudson, Haydin, Gavin, Grayson, Asher, Micah, Mason and Reid; sisters, Joyce Ferguson, Grand Forks, and Corryne (Robert) Stadstad, Manvel, ND and sisters-in-law, Helen Hoverson, Manvel, ND, and Edith Hoverson, Sutton, ND.

Bill was preceded in death by great-grandson, Paxon Olimb, his mom & dad, brothers, Odin, Allen, Vernon, Dayton, and Leo, his sister, Margaret, brother-in-law, Lloyd Ferguson and sisters-in-law, Marion, Ellen, & Adeline.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 Oldham Avenue, Manvel, ND 58256.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

INTERMENT: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.

My dear roomate Joyce and family. Was so sorry to ready of you husband/father's passing. Joyce had told me first-hand of her meeting with Bill as we laid side-by-side in our hopital room. Such a wonderful story. It was so inspiration to meet you both, thank you for being there. Janet and Gary Bergstrom
