Oswald J. Pearson, 87, resident of Dove Healthcare West for the last year, died Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.

Oswald J. Pearson, 87, resident of Dove Healthcare West for the last year, died Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.
He was born in Lawton, ND, on October 1, 1923, a son of Carl and Della (Olson) Pearson. He graduated from Newbry High School with the class of 1941. Oswald had farmed in Lawton, ND his entire life and served on the ASCS board for fifteen years in Devils Lake, ND.
He served in the U.S. Army from November. 29, 1945, until his honorable discharge on August 28, 1947. Oswald was a member of the Edmore American Legion Sn 193 Johnson-Myrvik Post in Edmore, ND.
Oswald married Arlene R. Gunderson Pudil in Grand Forks, ND, on July 3, 1976.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; step-daughter, Glenda (Steven) Nellie of Eau Claire; stepson, Wayne (Jayne) Pudil of Grand Forks, ND; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Glen (Marlene) Pearson of Madison, ND; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents; a brother, Edward Pearson; sister, Marie Kleingartner; nephew, Robert; and a niece Connie.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will be at a later date in Lawton Cemetery in Lawton, ND.
