Leroy G. Bock, 57, of Grand Forks, ND died Thursday, January 13, 2011 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Leroy G. Bock was born March, 26, 1953 in Rapid City, SD, the son of L. Gregory and JoAnne Weaver. He grew up and attended school in Grand Forks until the age of ten. The family then moved to Greensberg, OH.

Leroy was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1976. He married Heidi Lehr on March 2, 1973. They moved to Grand Forks in 1976 and made their home there. Leroy worked for the Grand Forks Public Schools as a master heating and plumbing tech from 1976 until retiring due to illness in 2009.

Leroy is survived by daughter Amy (Chad) Devine, Grand Forks; son Tom (Beth) Bock, East Grand Forks, MN; special friend Rose Brossart, Mayville, ND; former wife Heidi Audette, East Grand Forks; uncle Ronald Weaver; aunt Jeannie (Roger) Parent; special cousin Elaine “Babe” Weaver and numerous other cousins; grandchildren: Paislee, Brynn, Braelyn (the light of grandpa’s eyes), and a new baby due this July.

Leroy was preceded in death by his mother JoAnne; father, Erwin Bock; grandparents, John and Josie Weaver; uncle, Eugene Weaver; aunts, Judy Lindstrom and Sylvia Levitt.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 7 PM in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
