Dennis G. Johnson age 75 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 with his family by his side.

Dennis G. Johnson was born on May 21, 1935 in Grand Forks, ND the son of Thelmer and Minnie (Nelson) Johnson. On February 22, 1957 he was united in marriage to Sharon Sullivan. Dennis worked for the City of Grand Forks in the Waste Water Department for 36 years. Upon his retirement in his spare time, Dennis enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on old cars and gardening.

Family members who survive Dennis include his wife Sharon of Grand Forks, ND, children, Danny Johnson of Grand Forks, ND, Kristi (Bob) O'Leary of Hillsboro, ND, Lynae (Keith) Hoverson of Manvel, ND, Shelly (Mark) Stigen of Caledonia, ND and Dennis James (Joyce Meek) of Thief River Falls, MN, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, siblings, Sanford Johnson, Marvel (John) Jenson, Stanley (Fran) Johnson, Marilyn Lunde, Joyce Aaker and Dale (Karen) Johnson.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Thelmer and Minnie Johnson, brother, Roland Johnson, sister, Lois Anderson, son-in-law, Bob O'Leary and a grandson Nathan Kamrowski.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM on Monday, November 15, 2010 in University Lutheran Church, 2122 University Ave., Grand Forks, ND

Visitation: 3:00 to 5:00 with a 4:30 PM Prayer Service on Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks, MN and 1 hour prior Funeral Service in the church.

Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery ~ Grand Forks, ND

Sharon and the Johnson family. So sorry to hear of Dennis's passing. It has been 9 years since we moved to AZ. We lived across the street from you for 28 years and Dennis always had kind words and a great and friendly smile when ever we met. Mike Sondrol, Lake Havasu City AZ

Johnson family, I am so sorry to hear about the lost of Dennis. He will be greatly missed.He was one of my favorites that would come and play bingo.
