Agnes Erickson age 103, of Cavalier, ND died on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND.

Agnes Boe was born September 11, 1907, near Nielsville, MN to Svenung and Sina (Knutson) Boe. In 1929, she received her teaching degree from the North Dakota Agricultural College (now NDSU) in Fargo, ND. She began her teaching career in Coteau, ND. where she met her husband, Ellik Erickson. They were married December 29, 1931, in Moorhead, MN.

They lived and farmed near Coteau and moved into town where she resumed teaching and was school superintendent. She later served as Coteau's postmaster for many years. In 1984, she moved to Cavalier to be near her son Roger and his family.

After moving to Cavalier, Agnes enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center and playing cards. Her other hobbies were crocheting, reading, and doing word puzzles, until poor eyesight prohibited her from those activities.

Survivors include her children, Stanley Erickson, Seattle, WA and Mavis (Emile) Cloutier, Ashland, OR; daughter-in-law, Patricia Erickson, Cavalier; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and sister, Thelma (Gerald) Paasch, Sauk Rapids, MN.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ellik; son, Roger Erickson; grandson, Tim Erickson; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND.

Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.

Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
