Leona Duray, 87, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Oslo, MN, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 17, 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Leona Marshall was born on October 15, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Henry and Synneva (Christenson) Marshall. She was raised near Argyle, MN where she attended school. On November 28, 1944, she married Florian Duray in Argyle. They made their home in Viking, MN where they farmed. In 1976, they moved to Oslo. Florian died on August 18, 1984. Leona moved to Grand Forks in 2009.
She enjoyed being homemaker, sewing, fishing, gardening, quilting, doing puzzles and baking pies. She also was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins.
Left to mourn her passing are three children, Beverly Donarski of Grand Forks, ND, Gerald (Judy) Duray of Viking, MN and Thomas (Jocelyn) Duray of St. Paul, MN; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Lee) Marshall of Grover City, CA and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband ; two grandsons, Scott & Timothy Donarski and brother, Clifford Marshall.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo, MN.
VISITATION: After 6:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
INTERMENT: Riverside Cemetery, Oslo, MN.
