Margaret S. "Peggy" Tillman

Margaret S. "Peggy" Tillman, 69, Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, in her home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Margaret Sharon Murphy was born on November 25, 1940 the daughter of William J. and Agnes (Thompson) Murphy in Grand Forks. She attended school in Fisher, MN. In 1957, Margaret married Richard Bratvold in Grand Forks. After the death of Richard Bratvold she later married Richard Tillman on January 12, 1963 in Grand Forks. Together they raised a family of five sons. She devoted her life to raising her children. Margaret loved playing cards, playing bingo and her casino runs. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Margaret is survived by sons, Rick (Jackie) Bratvold, Steve (Jan) Bratvold, Doug Tillman all of Grand Forks, ND and Brian Bratvold, Chino, CA; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Murphy, Wichita, KS, Ron Murphy, Tom (Joyce) Murphy both of Grand Forks, ND; a sister, Sue (Morris) Gaines, Denison, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Bratvold and Richard Tillman; a son, Bill Tillman; 2 great grandchildren; her parents; brothers, Ray, Jim and Denny; 2 sisters in law.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in United Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service in Gregory J. Norman - Norman Funeral Home, 2950 S. Washington St., Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will continue for one hour before services in the church on Thursday.

Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery North, Grand Forks, ND.
