Wallace “Wally” Storbakken, 75 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at his home.

Wallace Storbakken was born on April 30, 1935 the son of William and Francis (Dauksavage) Storbakken. Wally grew up and attended school in Oslo, MN. He moved to Texas and worked as a carpenter and then moved to California and also worked as a carpenter. Wally entered the United States Army. In the early 1970’s he moved back to Grand Forks, ND where he owned and operated a Pawn Shop. Wally worked for American Crystal Sugar Company for 17 years. On September 20, 1991 he was united in marriage to Toni LaFountaine.

Wally is survived by his wife Toni of Grand Forks, ND, children, Matt, Jenny and Christopher Storbakken all of Crookston, MN and by many other children, 1 brother Florian (Helen) Storbakken, 3 sisters, Marion (Larse) Myrhe, Leona (Jack) Sanders and Cheryl Storbakken and we ask for God’s blessing for those who were not named..

Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Stennes Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN

Visitation: One hour before Memorial Service at Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks, MN

Toni, my deepest sympathies go out to you for the loss of your husband, Wally. With your deep faith in God, you know Wally is with his Father and out of pain and in a much better place where someday you both will be together again. Take care of yourself, Your Friend Sandie Antonson
