June Laymon, 84, of Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Oslo, MN, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 26, 2010 at Woodside Village in Grand Forks.
June was born June 13, 1925 in Oak Park, MN. She graduated from Oslo High School and went on to become a teacher. She married Ingman Pederson in June 1954 until his death in 1976. She was married to Charlie Laymon from 1980 until his death in 2000. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oslo. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, books, and music. She especially enjoyed visits with her extended family and many friends.
Left to mourn her passing are her daughters; Joslyn (Bill) Foley of Glendale, AZ & Cheryl Stang of Ashdown, AR, sons; James Pederson of Grand Forks, ND & Stephen Pederson of Fargo, ND and step-sons Howard Laymon of Golden Valley, MN and Donald Laymon of Florida, her many grandchildren, brothers; George (Gayle) Holter of Oslo and Gordon Holter of Warroad, and sister-in-law Barb Holter of Oslo and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Elling & Thilda Holter, Husband Charlie Laymon, and Husband Ingman (Pete) Pederson, brothers Alvin, Donald, Harvey, and sisters Lila and Marlys.
Funeral service: 1:00 pm on Monday, May 31, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oslo, MN.
Visitation: 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at DuBore Funeral Home in Warren, MN and one hour before services at the church on Monday.
Interment: Oak Park Lutheran Cemetery, rural Oslo, MN.
