Esther O. Nelson, 90, passed away on Tuesday, March 30 at Princeton Hospital in Hightstown, New Jersey.
Esther was born on September 19, 1919 in Hatton, the daughter of Olava (Nyhus) and Ole Nelson. She grew up in rural Hatton and was baptized and confirmed in Little Forks Lutheran Church of rural Hatton.
Esther married Earl S. Dahl in 1936. They had 8 children, Margie, Earl, Ruby, Beverly, Roy, Judy, Linda & Ardis. She married Marvin Olson on November 20, 1964.
Esther is survived by her children Margie (Arleigh) Huus of Hatton, ND; Earl (Francis) Dahl of Cando, ND; Ruby (Gary) Evans, Cloverdale, Indiana;, Beverly Kopps of Hartford, CT; Roy (Grace) Dahl of Manvel, ND; Judy (Bob) Pierce of Highstown, New Jersey; Linda (Steve) Gregoire of Caldwell, Idaho and son-in-law Bill Clingman of Penryn, CA; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Inga, Bernice, Olga and Pearl; brothers: Herman, Gilman, Edward, Carl and Harry; a daughter Ardis Clingman and 2 grandchildren, Danny Huus and Greg Dahl.
Esther will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held April 23, 2 p.m. at Little Forks Church, Hatton, ND.
