Inga Ringsrud, 105, of Hatton, ND, died Friday, October 16, 2009, at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton.
Inga Braaten was born on March 18, 1904 to Amund and Inger (Moen) Braaten at Mooreton, ND. The family later moved to a farm north of Mayville, ND, where she grew up and attended country school. She married Gerhard Ringsrud on January 7, 1940. They farmed near Hatton.
She was an active member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, where she participated in Ladies Aid and Circle. She played the organ and piano for church services and other church and community events. While at Prairie Village, Inga also played the piano for the residents.
Inga is survived by her daughter, Jan Schneider of Hatton; one grandson, Ryan (Laura) Schneider of Decatur, GA; one granddaughter, Heidi (Chris) English of Hiriam, GA; three great granddaughters, Julianna, Isabella and Annalysa English; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Ringsrud of Hatton and Doris Braaten of Vancouver, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerhard; son-in-law, Tom Schneider; and her eight brothers and sisters.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Hatton Prairie Village Chapel, Hatton, ND.
Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the funeral service at Hatton Prairie Village.
Interment: Bethany Cemetery, rural Hatton
