Irene D. Carter passed away peacefully on October 16, 2009.
She was born in Pisek, N.D. on January 2, 1932 to Elizabeth and Anton Dub the 8th of 10 children. In 1950 she moved to Chicago, IL where she met and married her husband of 58 years, Guy Carter and they raised their 5 children. Irene was a free spirit who loved her family, music, & nature.
She spent the last 9 years in Three Forks, Montana near the mountains and wildlife she loved so much. She is survived by her husband Guy, her children Debbie (Vance Drain), Guy Carter, Becky (Chris Kennard), Jenny (John Ryan), Bruce Carter, and granddaughter Lillian Kennard. She is also survived by her sisters Rose Bartuska (John) Verna Railey, and Clementine O’Toole, and brother Clem Dub (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s foundation or to a charity of your choice.
Vigil services were conducted at the K&L Mortuary in Three Forks Sunday, 7 p.m., October 18, 2009 with Deacon Bob Lane presiding.
A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted 11 a.m., Monday at the Holy Family Catholic Parish in Three Forks. Cremation followed services. Final disposition of ashes will take place at a later date.
K&L Mortuaries ~Three Forks is in charge of arrangements.
