Lauretta Olmstead Urseth, 85 of Grand Forks, ND, died Friday, October 2, 2009 in Valley Eldercare Center of Grand Forks, ND.

Lauretta Margaret Breton was born on March 12, 1924 in St. Brue, Saskatchewan, Canada the daughter of Joseph and Cora (Champagne) Breton. Lauretta grew up and attended school in Thompson, North Dakota.

She married Wilson Jones in 1946 and together they had one son. She married Leo Olmstead in 1949 and to this union they had seven children. She married Oscar Urseth in 1976. Lauretta spent most of her life raising her children. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Grand Forks and enjoyed baking, embroidering, dancing, singing and playing bingo.

Lauretta is survived by her eight children: Paul Jones of Latrobe, PA, William (Pam) of Grand Forks, ND, Margaret (Tom) Olmstead Schafer of New Brighton, MN, Robert (Ginny) Olmstead of Grand Forks, ND, Cora-Len (Ralph) Hutton of Grand Forks, ND, Terry (Kalyn) Olmstead of Grand Forks, ND, Nashell (Rod) Loran of Woodbury, MN and Paulla (Robin) Solem of East Grand Forks, MN; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lauretta is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother: Father Leonard Breton; sisters: Medora Bosco and LaVern Johnson.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5th, 2009 in Stennes Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN

Visitation: One Hour before Funeral Service in Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks, MN.

Interment: St. Jude's Catholic Cemetery, Thompson, ND.
