James O. Braaten

James O. Braaten, 63, Grand Forks, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

James Orville Braaten, was born to Ole and Clara (Leland) Braaten on December 12, 1945 at Northwood, North Dakota. He was raised and educated at Hatton, North Dakota.

James was employed by Altru Hospital for 28 years, retiring in 1997 due to a back injury.

He loved BINGO, and spending time with his family, his 3 great-nieces and his friends.

He is survived by a sister, Jeanette (Lyle) Anderson, Grand Forks; nieces, Lisa and Connie, nephews, Jack and Kevin; great-nieces, Triana, Holly, and Nicole; his best friend and caregiver, Stanley Jenson, Grand Forks. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Karen, and an infant brother.

Memorial Services: Will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Interment will be at a later date at Little Forks Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rural Hatton, North Dakota.
