Tillie Gregerson, 90, of Badger, MN, passed away on July 13, 2009, at LifeCare Greenbush Manor.
Tillie Elsie Gregerson, the daughter of Martha (Berg) and Andrew Skeim, was born on December 11, 1918 in Syre, MN. In 1924, when Tillie was five years old, she moved to Nereson Township near Badger with her family. She attended the District 35 Country School in Nereson.
On June 30, 1954 Tillie married Alvin Gregerson in the parsonage in Roseau.
She and Alvin built a house on their farm in Nereson township and moved a house in for Tillie's parents to live in on the same property. They made a living farming and Tillie worked at home as well as helped on the farm.
Tillie loved to crochet and was a wonderful cook and baker. She raised chickens and sold the eggs, loved to be outdoors, mowing, gardening, and taking care of her yard. She was a member at Nannestad Lutheran Church and served in the ladies aid. In recent years she was a faithful member of Badger Creek Free Lutheran Church in Badger. She and Alvin were very active in the Pioneer Farm in Roseau. Tillie loved to dance and play bingo, and Alvin and Tillie enjoyed ice fishing together.
Tillie is survived by one sister-in-law Eva Gregerson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin; her parents, Andrew and Martha; sisters: Gena Halvorson and Olga Lange; two infant sisters; and brothers Oliver and LeRoy Skeim.
Funeral Services for Tillie Gregerson will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Badger Creek Free Lutheran Church in Badger.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at church.
