Mollie Holweger, 94, of Grand Forks, ND, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks, ND.

Mollie Holweger was born May 5, 1915 in Emerado, ND, the daughter of Gottlieb and Dora (Fitchner) Holweger. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. She married George Holweger on February 7, 1936 in Grand Forks. They lived in Inkster until 1941 when they returned to Grand Forks.

Mollie was active in Zion United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed her family, gardening and visiting with her friends.

Mollie is survived by: Son, James (Marie) Holweger, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Daughter, Candy (Rob) Clausen, Grand Forks, ND; Three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband George, who died in 1981.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zion United Methodist Church, 1001 24thAve. South, Grand Forks, ND.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 South 42nd St., Grand Forks.
