Gary Hendrickson, 62, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Gary Douglas Hendrickson was born on August 30, 1946 in Crookston, MN, the son of Lyle and Cheryl (Holmvik) Hendrickson. Gary grew up and attended school in Crookston, MN, graduating from Crookston Central High School with the Class of 1964. He attended the University of North Dakota and then married Gayle Olson in Crookston, MN in 1966. In 1966 he entered the United States Army. Following his discharge from the Army, he lived in Grand Forks, ND where he was a self employed Antique Dealer. He married Marlee Dunn on July 11, 1979 in Grand Forks, ND.
Gary is survived by his children: Michael Hendrickson of Kimball, MN, Tracy (Chad) Dorn of Maple Grove, MN, Chad Hendrickson, and Travis Hendrickson of Grand Forks, ND; special friend, Arlene Boroos of Grand Forks, ND; siblings: Carla Laurent of Elk River, MN, Lana (Nick) Bissell of Pagosa Springs, CO, and Harvey (Julie) Hendrickson of Maple Lake, MN and nine grandchildren.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Stennes Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, in Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks, MN
