Gladyce L. Ovind Ensrud joined her Savior on Thursday, April 2nd at 4000 Valley Square in Grand Forks.
She was born on May 14, 1918 the daughter of Mathilda (Svegdahl) and Louis Ovind. She graduated from Northwood High School. She married Orville Korsmoe on June 18, 1939 in Northwood. He died in January of 1960. She later married Fred Miller and they resided in San Antonio, TX until his death in July of 1963. She married Victor Ensrud on March 8, 1971 in Grand Forks.
She managed the S and H Green Stamp Store and worked at Ben Franklin in Grand Forks until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church and Grand Forks Senior Citizens Center where she took pleasure in doing volunteer work. She enjoyed need crafts, music and crossword puzzles, but her favorite afternoons were spent playing bingo.
She is survived by her husband Victor and sons Charles (Sandra) and Roger (Joanne) Korsmoe both of Grand Forks; daughter Karen (Gerald) Sandberg of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Michael, Victor, Brad (Kim) and Greg Korsmoe; Brent (Connie) and Brian Sandberg; Shawna (Twe) Hopkins and Janine Feliciano and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arlie and Blaine; and sisters, Bernice and Anna Catherine. Blessed be her memory.
Services: will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 in Augustana Lutheran Church, 520 University Ave., Grand Forks.
Visitation: will be one hour prior to the service in the church.
Interment will be at Memorial Park North Cemetery.
Memorials: are preferred to Augustana Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are with Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks.
