Laying the cornerstone of the Grand Forks Masonic Temple in 1913
Masons, workers and dignitaries lay the cornerstone of the Grand Forks Masonic Temple into place July 30, 1913. Wielding the trowel is Nilson Rae. Guiding the stone into position are F.V. Kent (with Masonic apron) and Clarence Hale (with Knight Templar sword). Operating the windlass crank is Art Dinnie of Dinnie Brothers, the general contractor. Others pictured are F.B. Cameron, former Mayor George Duis, Myron Bacon and Theodore Elton. The Masons will re-enact the laying of the cornerstone Saturday during a 1 p.m. ceremony.
