Four bighorn sheep in the western North Dakota Badlands get a helicopter ride

Four bighorn sheep in the western North Dakota Badlands get a helicopter ride in February 2010. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department recently employed a helicopter crew to relocate 12 bighorn sheep from a heavily traveled stretch of U.S. Highway 85 to a more remote area to reduce the risk of road-kill incidents. At least a half-dozen bighorns have been killed along Highway 85 near the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park since 2010. (Brett Wiedmann, N.D. Game and Fish Department)
