Gage Jelinek, 14 (left), and younger brother, Wyatt, 12, of Pisek, N.D., caught these big pike Feb. 17 while fishing with Grandpa Loy Jelinek at Matejcek Dam. Gage’s fish measured 43 inches and weighed 21 pounds, and he caught the fish in 4 feet of water using a tip-up baited with frozen herring. Wyatt’s fish measured 41 inches and weighed 19¾ pounds, and he caught the pike in 8 feet of water, also using a tip-up baited with a frozen herring. The boys are having both fish mounted.
