"Deer wranglers" with trap

"Deer wranglers" R.J. Gross of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, and Brian Schaffer, Jonathan Jenks and Kristin Sternhagen of South Dakota State University stand next to a clover trap last week that was set along the Red River east of Grafton, N.D. Sternhagen is overseeing the fieldwork portion of a study of radio-collared deer in northeast North Dakota, and Jenks is her adviser. Gross and Schaffer were helping subdue the deer that wandered into the traps. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is funding the study. (Brad Dokken)
