Jason Laumb wears rubber gloves while mixing venison, pork, waterfowl and spices into sausage in the kitchen of his Grand Forks home. Laumb, whose sausage recipes lean toward the spicy side, said the gloves help prevent irritation the spices might cause to his hands.
