Michael Swenson of East Grand Forks shot this buck Nov. 3, the opening morning of Minnesota’s firearms deer season, while hunting in Otter Tail County. The buck had a nine-point rack with 10- to 11-inch tines. According to Michael’s dad, Mark Swenson, he dropped the buck at 20 yards with one shot from his .300. It’s been quite a year for Michael, who also landed a 30-inch walleye earlier this year, Mark writes.
