Cooper, a 2-year-old black Labrador owned by Ken Mattson of Grand Forks, retrieves a rooster pheasant Oct. 27 during the "Fun Day Pheasant Hunt" near Finley, N.D. The Finley Wildlife Club hosted the hunt, releasing 200 pheasants at 14 sites near Finley. The hunt was open to anyone, providing they brought at least one youth age 17 or younger to enjoy the experience.
