The family qualifies for an autism waiver, which provides financial help with the cost of equipment, supplies, and environmental modifications. However, his mother Toby Cherney said accessing those funds isn’t easy. “We constantly have to fight, battle, appeal just to get any kind of equipment or environmental modifications for him,” she said.
