Darrell Smith, identified variously as a general partner or chief operating officer with Energae LP Holdings, Clear Lake, Iowa, was the main spokesman for an investment meeting in Grafton, N.D., on March 23. He had been a stock broker in his own company but had been “allowed to resign” from the company he was selling for on March 2, after a customer complaint.
