Picking up a pickup:
Mark Turner (left) and Bill Schultz of Turner Towing used a crane to lift a heavy duty truck from 30 feet of water Tuesday on Gull Lake near Brainerd, Minn. The truck and fish house it was towing went through thin ice about three weeks ago. Recovery of the truck was delayed because the ice had to be strong enough to hold the crane and recovery trucks. The ice on central Minnesota lakes has been spotty with several areas of open water recently.
