Advance Imaging Technology unit

The Grand Forks International Airport is now using the new Advanced Imaging Technology scanner system, which can detect metallic and non-metallic objects in passengers' pockets and underneath clothing. It's like the one shown in this photo. The scanner produces a black and white image of each passenger that is analyzed for potential threats, and any anomalies are shown on a generic body outline.
