Nessa Schrank

Nessa Schrank of Grand Forks bites down on a “chew tab” to help her draw back her compound bow Wednesday night at the Red River Archers indoor archery range. Schrank, who took up archery last February, has only partial use of her left side after a massive brain bleed that occurred in March 2006. The disability doesn’t stop her, though. “If there’s an obstruction in your way, don’t let it stop you; just knock it down,” Schrank says. (Brad Dokken / Grand Forks Herald)
