(Left and center photos): Matthew Simmons, 8, didn’t quite know what to think about holding a northern pike he caught for a photo during a Monday afternoon fishing excursion. “Daadddd!” he seems to be saying in the center photo. But it wasn’t long before Matthew grew comfortable with the idea of holding the fish (right), and the grin on his face pretty much said it all. He’s on top of the world. It goes that way, sometimes, with kids and fishing.
